Rick Blake has made transit the center of his professional life since he went to work for then-new Bay Area Rapid Transit system in 1973. He was heavily involved in BART’s growth and maturation for many years. He then took his operations and maintenance skills and experience into the private sector, helping to put together new rail transit systems and improve existing ones in the US and abroad.
